Part of my series of prints that celebrate birdlife in the capital. I am interested in the wild birds that call the London their home - albeit briefly for some. There are many colonies of wild parrots living in London. Indeed they have settled in to such an extent that they are sometimes thought of as pests. The most commonly seen are the rose-ringed Parakeets. A mature adult bird stands around 40cm tall, and they have a loud and piercing call. Like many parrots these can be trained to mimic human speech.
